Troop 691 was chartered in April 1998 as a new unit in Theodore Roosevelt Council's Rough Rider District. The Troop's initial ten boy members came from two of our local Cub Packs. Our members attend a number of different public, private and parochial schools and Western Sufflok counties.

The Troop meets Tuesday evenings, from 7:00 to 8:15 pm, at our sponsor's facilities (Maria Regina School Auditorium). Our meetings include Scout skills instruction, games, and planning for upcoming events.
Outdoor Activities
Troop 691 believes that there's nothing left after you delete the "out" from "Scout". Our first campout was held three days after we were chartered and our program includes a monthly campout as well as Summer Camp experience. The Troop's outdoor program is designed to provide the Scouts with fun, new skills, and advancement. We spend 24 nights out camping each year.
A Scout is Reverent
Troop 691 welcomes Scouts of all faiths. We encourage Scouts to work on their faith-specific religious awards.
How to Join
We are always interested in having prospective members check out our program before joining. Contact our Troop Committee Chairman, Mr. Tim Tyler, through the Parish Rectory. Information about Scouting in Nassau County can be found on the Theodore Roosevelt Council website: www.trcbsa.org.
