Parish Social Ministry, in partnership with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, assists in serving the basic needs of the families of the parish and community who are in crisis. Our goal is to help, organize and empower people. Parish Social Ministry assists people with direct service in an effort to help them help themselves. This ministry stems from the call to Social Justice. It enlivens the belief that we celebrate within the Christian community. Parish Social Ministry aims to empower and support the parishioners as they act out the Gospel call to love and serve one another. |

Direct Services
The Office of Parish Social Ministry works in partnership with the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Catholic Charitiesto meet the immediate needs of the people of our community by providing food, clothing, shelter and fuel |

Advocacy We act as a voice for the people in the area when they need to work with agencies such as Catholic Charities, the Diocese of Rockville Centre, Department of Social Service, Social Security, Government and Human Service Agencies. |

|
Referrals We refer people where to find services we do not provide. We try to work in a way that educates our community in the need for social change and to implement that change whenever possible. |
