Maria Regina InnKeepers

The Maria Regina Innkeepers prepare over 600 meals and 3,000 sandwiches per month and deliver them to the Mary Brennan INN Soup Kitchen in Hempstead.  The Mary Brennan INN Soup Kitchen serves five hot lunches per week and we help serve lunch once per month.  We also prepare the Thanksgiving dinner for the INN.  None of this would be possible without the help of the Maria Regina parishioners who donate their time, talent, treasure and prayers.

For more information or to volunteer or make sandwiches, contact coordinator George Lyons at innkeepers@mariaregina.com.  Click on the PDF icon below for the Innkeepers upcoming schedule.

The InnKeepers Hard At Work
Thanks InnKeepers

Dear George and your amazing INNkeepers,
Just wanted to say a very late, but very BIG THANKS for the awesome job you did again in making the Thanksgiving meal so delicious and so perfect once again this year. I believe we served around 280 and they all commented on how great the meal was. They especially raved about the stuffing this year so whomever came up with that recipe, they are to be given an extra hug. Sorry we always get so immediately swallowed up in toys and Christmas preparations that we don’t find the time to write what we’re thinking: WE COULDN’T POSSIBLY DO THIS WITHOUT YOU!!!!! Thanks for making us feel your love through your awesome actions and gracious generosity. May you all be forever blessed for being such colossal sources of inspiration for all of us here at The INN! Wishing you all a very peace-filled season of Christmas and may the light you are shine out to all who are blessed to know you. Love, Jean

The bread which you do not use is the bread of the hungry; the garment hanging in your wardrobe is the garment of him who is naked; the shoes you do not wear are the shoes of the one who is barefoot; the money that you keep locked away is the money of the poor; the acts of charity that you do not perform are so many injustes that you commit.
